About Me

Since qualifying as a speech and language therapist with a Postgraduate Diploma from City University London in 2001, I have worked with children and young people in a range of settings in West Sussex. Working for the NHS for 14 years, my work comprised assessment, therapy and training in clinics, mainstream primary and secondary schools, and special schools. Over the years I developed a specialism in social communication and Autistic Spectrum Disorder, working in specialist classes for children with ASD, providing outreach services to mainstream schools, and working with other health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary ASD diagnostic team.

I have been working independently since 2016 with children and young people in mainstream and special schools across Sussex. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). I hold a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Certificate; am fully insured, and am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I am also a qualified Counsellor working with adults and young people, and am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). www.brionylambert.com
